This song, since the moment I heard it, has been how I have felt. My favorite line right now is: "...And if You are the war, let me be the casualty..." because that is my prayer to God. Of course, after going through Ike, this song has even more realistic imagery. I haven't been able to get the photos off my camera of my house and neighbors, but after reading those lyrics... look at this images of Hurricane Ike.

It's very sobering and my heart goes out to those still suffering. Justin and Rachel received power back tonight, praise God, but as of now Rachel's parents and the church still are without power. I also found out this week that STAFF of the church are suffering great loss. Matt Shepperd, a good friend and the founder of iamchange.org (an organization I work with), has lost their home due to a tree falling in their house and extensive water damage. John Sherrill, a worship leader at WE whom I have talked about due to his premie son Kyle (prayforkyle.com) whom I've asked for prayer for, lost his entire home. Bobby Lee, the media director and man who did Justin and Rachel's wedding video, lost portions of his house and also has a lot of water damage. These are just a few of the stories of friends of mine who are suffering due to Hurricane Ike. So please, thank God for my family but in that same prayer plead for those who are still suffering.
