I'm back....

Well, I'm home from the most amazing summer of my life and trying to get back into the swing of things. To get an idea of what happened this summer, go to: swaziland08.blogspot.com and read the posts I did while I was there. I will be posting my last email to my supports later today.

But to give you an idea of life since I've been home, my family got twins while I was gone. So I have been helping my mom take care of 7 week old twins, Christian and Christina. They are absolutely beautiful. They were 7 weeks premature so they are finally considered "full term" and so the complications that come with that have been there, but overall they are good babies.

Kiana has finally figured out I'm really home and staying here. It took her a few days of saying "Sissy, are you staying at my house" before she finally realized the answer would still be yes and I would still be here in the morning when she woke up. She has grownup so much in the 2 months I was gone and I don't like it! :) She has broadened her vocabulary and become quite the little person.

Josie hasn't changed AS MUCH as Kiana (a lot due to age) but has been a great helper to mom while I've been gone. Her social calender has become extremely full and has more of a social life than I could hope for! :)

I'm FINALLY getting used to the fact that Justin and Rachel are really married. Everyone has had 2 months to get used to it, but I only saw them once before they left for their honeymoon right before I left and so it's still odd hearing people call Rachel my "sister-in-law". But they missed me, and you can tell by the way Justin talks. Just little things, wanting my opinions on things, inviting me over, etc. I'm not complaining, I love it. Sunday he invited me over for a BBQ at his house after church so we could hang out and I could tell him about my trip. Yeah, I'm blessed with an amazing family, I know!!

Mom, Dad, and Jason have stated numerous times how much they missed me. Mom said she missed the talks with me (which is funny because numerous journal entries I state the same thing) and Jason has missed having his "big sister" to talk to about things. I have helped dad with odd jobs around the house and had a chance to have "daddy/daughter time" which has been awesome.

I have been at the house all week because 2 weeks before coming home from Africa, I became sick and when I went the doctor on Saturday (3 hours after my flight landed) the doctor told me I had double pneumonia and a bad case of it. So I have been on very powerful meds and been resting a lot trying to kick this. I think I'm close to being on the better side of things.

Tomorrow Jason plays LIVE on KHOU Channel 11 with Zach Hendricks for "Great Day Houston" and I will be going to watch him. Courtney is coming with me since she just got home after her summer in Montana as well. I am very proud of him and honored to able to be in the studio and see him.

Past that, not a lot has gone on since I've been sick, but I'm very glad to be home. Thank you to everyone who prayed for me while I was gone. Your prayers were felt through the whole trip. I think that is all now, but I am back to being able to write, so start checking back. I love ya'll!!!
