About a love more faithful than the morning
The Father gave his only Son just to save us
The earth was shaking in the dark
All creation felt the Fathers broken heart
Tears were filling heaven's eyes
The day that true love died, the day that true love died
When blood and water hit the ground
Walls we couldn’t move came crashing down
We were free and made alive
The day that true love died, The day that true love died
Search your heart you know you can’t deny it
Come on, lose your life just so you can find it
The Father gave his only son just to save us
Jesus is alive He is alive
He rose again

=====
On this Valentine's Day, I am for the first time in a long time, not struck by my singleness, but overwhelmed by the love in my life. I may not have a "significant other" to buy me roses, chocolate, and stuff animals, producing the very stereotypical "Valentine's Day" gift; but I am surrounded by countless family, friends, co-workers, peers, students, and children who have showered me with physical love and joy. Not to mention the fact that I have a love that consumes me by the creator of love and the only man who truly knows how to love me for me, flaws and all. This is the first V-day in many years, if not ever, where I am not wallowing in my singleness, but rejoicing over this season in my life to pour into the lives of others and allow God to pour into me.
I pray each of you readers in blog-land truly enjoy your Valentine's day, single or taken, knowing that no amount of love on this earth can surpass the love that God has for you that he showed by sending His Son to die on your behalf. There is a love that is deeper and more intimate that any love and is just a shadow of how God feels about you.
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 1 John 4: 7-9
